Care Guide
For optimal results and sock longevity, follow these tips.
1. Putting on your compression socks
- Wearing rubber gloves not only makes it easier to put on compression socks but also serves to safeguard the fabric from potential snags caused by fingernails or rings.
- When putting on compression socks without gloves, be sure to remove any hand and wrist jewelry. Additionally, use care when dealing with zippers and Velcro fasteners on your footwear while wearing compression socks.
2. Washing your compression socks
- To maintain the compression socks' original elasticity and effectiveness, remember to wash them and air-dry them after each use. Wash them separately or with similar-colored clothes in a gentle cycle at 30-40 degrees Celsius, but avoid using hot water.
- For added protection, place your compression socks in a linen or mesh laundry bag before machine washing them. Use a gentle detergent and avoid bleach or fabric softeners, as these can affect the socks' elasticity.
3. After washing your compression sock
- After washing, don't wring the socks; gently press out water. You can either tumble dry or air dry them.
- Drying compression socks in a dryer can restore their elasticity after extended use, but avoid sun-drying or using heaters or radiators. It's advisable to replace them every 3-6 months based on usage to maintain proper compression levels.
